From "Weekly" to "Since last time"

I've changed the title of this post, and of all future posts. Why from "Weekly" to "Since last time"? Well, cause I don't find the time to post every week.

This post will come on a regular basis, feel free to subscribe to this "newsletter" (link: https://www.bikepacking.be/site/subscribe) and it will contain more information than only cycling or bikepacking, as my interest is broader than only that. Hiking, mountaineering, ... in fact any outdoor activity might pop up in these kind of posts.

No, I will not promote brands, but share movies, podcasts, articles, pictures ... that will move your ass.

Distance

Words from Markus' FB: 'I took the video footage back in 2019, with no real idea how to use it. When lockdown started, I started to reflect on the commonly used term 'social distancing'. I have ridden around the world unsupported, and most of my bikepacking adventures are solo adventures. The memories from my past adventures and the ability to be on my own, without feeling massively overwhelmed by it, helped me coping with the current lockdown measures in Scotland. I hope this film will bring joy and fresh ideas to people, especially those who might not be able to cope as well. With the film I tried to give the term 'distancing' a more positive flavour. I really think there is a need for physical distancing in the pandemic, but right now, a social connection is more important than ever.'

Sofiane Sehili

We get to meet Sofiane Sehili.One if not the best ultra-endurance bike rider of the moment, he can be called a world traveler, he won the Inca Devide what is called the hardest bike race in the world held in Peru, he also won the Atlas Mountain race this spring in Morocco.We talk about who Sofiane is,his back ground and lifestyle living in Paris, what ultra endurance bike racing scene is like, his victory at the Atlas Mountain race, the participation of Christian Meier of The Service Course,how he managed to ride non-stop and stay awake for 3 days in a row, the involvement of world tour team Education First with their alternatif racing program and more.

Zion National Park

I visited Zion National Park last year when I spent 2 weeks in Utah. An amazing place, impressive rock formations ... should go back once and spend a week or so in the park.
